Caring Beyond Travel
Our Humanitarian Efforts at WILD MADAGASCAR
For more than 20 years, our travel agency has been more than just business or a workplace; it has been a family. We have always believed in taking care of our own, and over the years, this has extended to not only our employees but also their families and the communities we’ve encountered throughout Madagascar. Whenever someone within our circle faced a challenge—whether it was a serious health issue, educational sponsorship, or simply the struggle of getting through a difficult season—we’ve been there to lend a hand.
We’ve supported employees and their families through life-threatening medical situations, including complex surgeries and long-term treatments, making sure they had the care and support they needed both during and after hospital stays. Our connection to a small fishing village, where we’ve helped a little girl receive life-saving treatment and provided for an amputee's recovery, is a reminder that our efforts, while personal and small in scale, have made a lasting impact on individual lives.
Education is another area close to our hearts. Whether it’s helping a child stay in school or making sure a university student has the tools they need to succeed, we’ve quietly provided what we could, believing that every bit of support matters. And during the cold winters, we’ve offered warmth—both literally, by providing clothing and blankets, and figuratively, by being there for those who needed a little extra help.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it deeply affected our extended community of tour guides, drivers, and freelancers who suddenly found themselves without work. In those difficult months, we stepped in to provide financial support to help them get through the worst of the crisis. It was a gesture of solidarity for the people who had been by our side for so long.
All of this has been made possible not just through the agency’s resources, but through the generosity of our family, friends, and other supporters who believe, as we do, that helping others is simply the right thing to do. Together, we've been able to extend a helping hand to those who need it most, and we remain dedicated to continuing this vital work for years to come.
